DESIGNER STATMENT

Asilos Magdalena is a personal practice. It exists somewhere between memory and design, part altar, part fever dream.

It holds fragments of my family, my ancestors, and the stories I’ve inherited, not only my own, but those that extend beyond me. Through design, I try to honor them, reworking the visual languages of the industry I admire into something personal, sacred, and alive.

I use the order of Swiss design as a mask, a structure that lets me move through systems that weren’t made for me. I exist between them, not fully claimed, not fully seen. Beneath that order lives the human: brown, spiritual, imperfect. Every grid holds ghosts. Every clean line carries something unresolved, something holy.

This space holds both what exists and what almost did, client work, rejected directions, and symbols from unfinished stories. These aren’t preserved as archive, but as relics, fragments that continue to hold weight, memory, and possibility.

Nothing here is neutral. Every composition carries tension between restraint and expression.

Asilos Magdalena isn’t a portfolio. It’s an altar, a space where memory, form, and image are placed with intention.
