DESIGNER STATEMENT
Asilos Magdalena is the foundation — the world I’m building from. It’s part archive, part fever dream, and completely me. Inside it live fragments of my family, my ancestors, and the stories I’ve inherited. Through design, I try to honor them — reworking the visual languages of the industry I admire and turning them into something personal, sacred, and alive.

I use the order of Swiss design as a mask — a structure that lets me move through systems that weren’t made for me. Beneath that order lives the human: brown, spiritual, imperfect. Every grid holds ghosts; every clean line hides something holy.

This space holds both what exists and what almost did — client work, rejected directions, and symbols from unfinished stories. It’s archival, not out of nostalgia, but as a way to remember possibility.

Within this world, smaller universes form — like Velorio Sonora, a body of work born from faith, death, and beauty. Each one reimagines what design can hold when you let it breathe, fracture, and ache.

Asilos Magdalena isn’t a portfolio.

It’s a living archive — a dark space between order and emotion, memory and design.
It’s me saying: I belong here too.
