Brand Identity/Packaging
The story of UCAN® begins with a friend who was born with a rare metabolic disorder that prevent him from breaking down the body’s natural source of stored energy—glycogen. In 2008 the founder of UCAN® developed a mental, slow-digesting carbohydrate to assist in magnifying his friend’s blood sugar. Within this process he discovered this could help others who seek an efficient, no-crash nutrient source one-of-a kind carbohydrate called LIVSTEADY™. Since then, UCAN has evolved into a global brand, empowering athletes at all levels to achieve their personal best, and reach beyond their own expectations.
The client brief was to find the correct solution for a brand refresh that felt distinctive yet that still pulled a few historical remaing elemets from original brand. Key words that were utilized for design discussions were UCAN®’s values Aspirational, Bold, Energetic, Proven, Purposeful, Science-Based. The UCAN® logo derived from the original geometric logo ingested with the key words of bold, proven and puroseful.
