SOFTBOTICS

CATEGORYArt Direction/ Advertising/ Print

Carnegie Mellon Softbotics was a collaboration with Donna Stugress ( Chief Marketing Officer, College of Engineering ) and Director Tim Brown ( College of Engineering ). The brief was to find a way to communicate what the program of Softbotics has to offer at the university for the new in coming students that are interested in attending.  Stugress and Brown’s vision was build off their original campaign while utilizing references and provide in formation on Softbtics. To put things in simple terms of what Softbotics are; They are robotic elements that live and interact within the human enviorment. It is the safest form or robotics that we know today.

For this process I utilized 3D Renders in order to provide a better visual for the client during our collaborative meetings. You will see some images below that show a bit of the process. Angelica Dios Jaramillo assisted me with the materials research as we were required to find elements that felt close to what is being used in the program at CMU and we collaborated with photographer Robin Stein and prop stylist Mat Cullen in order to execute the final vision of Mellon, Stugress and Brown.
